Terms of Service

Welcome to Roar. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Roar mobile application ("App") operated by CipherForge LLC ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using our App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Services

Roar provides the following translation and language services:

2.1 Text Translation

Real-time text translation between 100+ supported languages with AI-powered accuracy.

2.2 Conversation Mode

Real-time bilingual conversation translation using voice recognition and speech synthesis for face-to-face communication across languages.

2.3 Camera Translation (OCR)

Extract and translate text from images, photos, signs, menus, documents, and other visual content using optical character recognition technology.

2.4 Website Translation

Translate entire web pages while preserving formatting and layout.

2.5 Document Translation

Translate PDF documents by extracting and translating text content.

2.6 Offline Translation

Download language packs for offline translation when internet connectivity is unavailable.

2.7 Notes

Save translations for future reference.

3. User Accounts and Subscriptions

3.1 Free Features

Basic translation features are available for free with certain limitations on usage.

3.2 Premium Subscriptions

Premium features may require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions.

3.3 Subscription Terms

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings
• No refunds will be provided for partial subscription periods

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You shall not:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Translate content that is harmful, threatening, abusive, or hateful
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or servers
• Use automated systems or bots to access the App
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe upon intellectual property rights of others
• Use the App to transmit malware or malicious code

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Our Rights

The App, including its design, features, content, and underlying technology, is owned by CipherForge LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

5.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit for translation. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for providing translation services.

5.3 Feedback

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about the App may be used by us without any obligation to compensate you.

6. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

7. Disclaimers

7.1 No Warranty

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

7.2 Translation Limitations

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any translations. Translations should not be used as a substitute for professional translation services in critical situations.

7.3 Service Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the App. Features may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CIPHERFORGE LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP.

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App or subscription in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CipherForge LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

10. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with third-party services (including Apple services, translation APIs, and analytics providers). Your use of such services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, through in-app notifications. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and CipherForge LLC regarding your use of the App.
